Price changes and corrections

Every plan or price change we've recorded for email marketing platforms, each newly priced platform, and corrections to our own numbers, newest first.

  1. Mailchimp: Its free plan now allows 250 contacts, down from 500. Archived copies of Mailchimp's pricing page date the change to between 13 November 2025 and 14 January 2026; the paid plans' starting prices didn't change.

  2. Omnisend: Started tracking Omnisend's Standard and Pro plans at every list size, read from its pricing page in US dollars. Monthly emails are capped at 12 times the list on Standard and 60 times on Pro.

  3. GetResponse: Its pricing page shows prices only in euros, with no currency switch, so GetResponse now has its own page in euros instead of a place in the dollar comparisons. The euro prices were the same as on 5 October.

  4. Constant Contact and HubSpot: Still not priced: Constant Contact's pricing page refused our request (HTTP 403), and HubSpot's per-seat prices and its product catalog prices disagree.

  5. Free-plan limits: Read the free-plan limits of Mailchimp, Brevo and MailerLite from their own pricing and help pages: contacts, emails a month and a day, and what happens over the limit, in each platform's words.

  6. Email credits: Read the prepaid email credit packs that Sender, Moosend, Mailchimp and Brevo sell instead of a monthly plan. None of the other tracked platforms' pricing pages mentions pay-as-you-go sending.

  7. Newsletter fees: Read what Substack, beehiiv, Kit and Ghost take from paid newsletter subscriptions, from their own pages. Our figures reproduce Substack's own calculator to the dollar.

  8. Automations: Read which plans include automations (autoresponders) on all 12 tracked platforms, with each platform's own wording, to find the cheapest plan whose automations reach the whole list.

  9. Store connections: Read which of the 12 platforms connect to Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce, and Shopify Messaging's own price per email, from each platform's pages.

  10. ActiveCampaign: ActiveCampaign has no free plan; its 14-day free trial is now quoted from its pricing page.

  11. Price spreadsheet: Every plan's price at every list size, billed monthly and yearly, with its sending cap and the platform's pricing page, is now a downloadable spreadsheet.

  12. Brevo: Started tracking Brevo, which prices by monthly email volume, each tier with its own contact allowance. A list is priced on the cheapest tier that covers both its contacts and the emails sent: 10,000 subscribers emailed 4 times a month need the 40,000-email tier at $46 a month, not $32.

  13. Flodesk: Started tracking Flodesk. It retired its flat unlimited plan for new members on 2 December 2025 and now prices by active subscribers; its free plan can't send email, so it counts as having no free plan.

  14. Constant Contact, GetResponse and HubSpot: Left out of the comparisons: Constant Contact's pricing page answered with a bot check, GetResponse showed only euro prices, and HubSpot prices per seat rather than by list size.

  15. Head-to-head comparisons: A list size where one platform publishes no price ("talk to sales", "Custom") was counted as a win for the other. Comparisons now count only sizes both price and name the gaps: ActiveCampaign vs Mailchimp went from 2 of 8 sizes against 6 to 2 of 7 against 5, with ActiveCampaign's missing 100,000-subscriber price stated.

  16. Inbox Tally: Launched at inboxtally.com: a calculator that prices an email list on Kit, MailerLite, beehiiv, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Moosend, Sender, AWeber and Klaviyo from each platform's own pricing page, skipping plans whose sending cap the list would exceed.
